The five boroughs saw sunny and dry weather on St. Patrick's Day, but, it was quite chilly as afternoon highs were at below-normal levels for the eleventh straight day. The winds were also an issue, as gusts in excess of 30mph were seen in parts of the area.

More sunshine is in store for Sunday and the winds will be lighter, but, temperatures will remain at unseasonably cold levels.

Looking ahead, conditions are expected to stay on the cold side well into next week. Afternoon highs are not expected to get out of the 40s. Spring begins on Tuesday, but, a round of wintry weather is possible.
