The umbrellas were needed once again early on Sunday as a low-pressure system dumped over an inch of rain in parts of the area. The winds were an issue during the early-morning hours as well, with gusts exceeding 30mph in some locations.

Brighter and drier conditions are in-store for Monday, and it will be noticeably milder as well. Afternoon temperatures are expected to be about 10 degrees above normal.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to remain unseasonably mild through mid-week, with afternoon highs in the low to mid 50s. More sunshine will be seen on Tuesday and Wednesday, but, another storm system is likely to affect the region between Thursday and Saturday.
