The first measureable snowfall is expected to arrive in the morning. That said, get ready for a messy commute throughout the day on Saturday. If you're taking a flight, be sure to call your carrier to make sure flight is okay.

Then snow is slated to arrive after 7 a.m. and end Saturday night. Temperature will range from low to mid 30s, but keep in mind that wind chills will make it feel a few degrees colder. As the storm pulls away, it will leave behind gusty breezes. Amounts will be limited due to the temperatures above freezing but a general 2 to 3 inches of slushy wet snow is expected.

There could be a few lingering snow showers or flurries on Sunday along with blustery conditions. In terms of the exact track, details are still being worked out. But, expect a general two to five inches of snowfall around the five boroughs by Saturday night. There could be some mixing or wet flakes, especially near the coast. Also, keep in mind that falling temperatures will lead to icy roads.

Temperatures will remain below normal into next week with a chance of more show showers on Tuesday.
