The fifth night of Chanukah brought many families to Canalside for skating, dreidel bingo, making menorahs and sharing stories.

“Chanukah is the festival of lights and we are here celebrating Chanukah with the Jewish community here out in Canalside,” said Rabbi Mendy Lebkobski of the Buffalo Jewish Discovery Center. “It’s great in Buffalo. It’s finally growing up and we are having everything and it’s beautiful to come skate here.”

The Buffalo Jewish Federation and PJ Library helped host the event.

The PJ Library's next big event is a Super Sunday on January 28, when kids can dress up as their favorite super hero and learn about giving back to the community.
