A singer known for his rousing renditions of the Star-Spangled Banner at Madison Square Garden has died.
John Amirante performed at the Garden regularly from the early '80s until his retirement in 2015.
The team tweeted that Amirante died Tuesday morning.
Amirante was 83 years old.
