With storefronts reopening, there's an effort underway to preserve protest art outside of businesses that had been closed.

A lot of artwork was painted and sprayed onto plywood all around SoHo.

Some gallery owners and artists are now rushing to make sure the pieces are saved and safely stored away.

"Ten years from now, I hope that people will look at my image and see that now that their grandparents, their fathers, cousins, uncles chose to take a stand,” said artist, Sule Marquez-Monsanto.

One group of artists is planning to wrap the art in plastic and store it in donated basements throughout SoHo.
