A teenager is facing charges after police say he smashed the window, and iconic neon sign, at the Stonewall Inn.

Investigators say 19-year-old Williams Gomez of Brooklyn was upset about being kicked out of the historic gay bar in Greenwich Village, so he used a baseball bat to cause $6,000 worth of damage.

Gomez is charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.

Police are not investigating the incident as a hate crime.
