The city police department is looking for a man it said set his girlfriend on fire in a Manhattan apartment building Tuesday.

It happened around 11:45 a.m. inside the building on Columbus Ave. near West 100th St. on the Upper West Side.

Police said Larry McGloster, 26, doused his 32-year-old girlfriend with an unknown substance and set her on fire before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officials have not confirmed a motive.

McGloster is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark-colored pants.
