A protest in Lower Manhattan over safe injection sites on Wednesday ended with the arrest of 11 people.

City Council member Stephen Levin was among those taken into custody.

All of those arrested are charged with disorderly conduct.

Demonstrators called on Mayor Bill de Blasio to release the findings of a 2016 study on the issue.

The sites offer addicts a place to use drugs under medical supervision to prevent overdoses.

The mayor told NY1 earlier this week the report was delayed because of the complicated legal matters at hand, but it will be ready soon.
