AUSTIN, Texas -- Musician Michael Salgado suffered a stroke following a concert in Austin on Friday.

Salgado addressed his fans from his hospital bed on Sunday in a video he posted on his official Facebook page. The musician said that he was not feeling well after a show in Austin, so he went to the hospital, where an MRI scan revealed that he had a stroke.

Salgado thanked his fans for all of their support and apologized for cancelling his show in New Braunfels on Saturday.

The Tejano music star has been recognized for the following awards: Latin Grammy, Pura Vida, Premios Tejas, Tejano Music Awards, Billboard Awards.
