A dog that was abandoned and found on the Jackie Robinson Parkway in Brooklyn is now available for adoption.

Saint Vincent was found in a garbage bag with his mouth taped shut in East New York on December 19.

The 10- to 12-year-old shepherd mix was treated at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group North animal hospital in Brooklyn.

The hospital says Saint Vincent is doing much better. He will be temporarily fostered by the founder of New York Bully Crew, an animal rescue group. The group will process applications for his adoption.

Anyone interested in adopting Saint Vincent can complete an application at New York Bully Crew's website.

Authorities have not determined who harmed Saint Vincent. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the ASPCA or the NYPD.
