NEW YORK - The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help to find three alleged thieves who posed as police officers in Manhattan last month.

Investigators say one of the men grabbed a woman's purse after she left 1 Oak on West 17th Street in Chelsea back on November 18.

The victim chased him for two blocks, until she was approached by two other men.

They showed her a silver shield and claimed they were officers.

Police believe the men were all working together.

All three ran away with the victim's purse, containing her cash and credit cards.
