Park Slope displayed some holiday cheer early at the city's first Christmas tree lighting Saturday.

The lights on a 22-foot tree turned on in the evening on the corner of Fifth Ave. and 4th St.

The Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District hosted it as part of Small Business Saturday.

The tree lighting is also expected to feature free treats from local businesses, live music, and special appearances from Santa Claus and "Frosty the Snowman."

Over in Dyker Heights, spectators got into the holiday spirit during the Christmas Light show.

The long-running annual tradition features houses decked out in ornate lighting designs, as well as some of the holiday's most recognizable characters.

If you want to check it out for yourself, head to the area of 11th to 13th Avenues from 83rd to 86th Streets.
