A pop-up shop has opened in East Harlem just in time for Small Business Saturday.

La Marqueta Holiday Weekend Market brings trinkets, hand-crafted jewelry, and other knick-knacks to Upper Manhattan.

Many of the vendors are from Puerto Rico and are selling Puerto Rican-themed gifts, with some of the proceeds from the market going towards Hurricane Maria relief efforts.

Vendors said La Marqueta is about celebrating Puerto Rican culture and giving back to the island.

"This time of year is about happiness, about music, it's about celebration, and Puerto Rican culture is very — we celebrate Christmas, it's very significant for our culture," Vendor Barbara Diaz said.

"Coming back here, to me, is an honor, you know? I've always been in New York, I've travelled — West Coast, China, Cuba — but I'm a New Yorker, born and raised here," Vendor Walter Bosque Del Rio said. "My parents are from Puerto Rico, so Puerto Rico is in my heart and I want to advocate for the revival."

La Marqueta is located on 115th St. and Park Ave., and it is open every Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Dec. 23.
