As part of National Adoption Month, dozens of kids were officially adopted at Brooklyn Family Court.

Thirteen month old Timothy Seigler's was among the children whose adoption is now official after living with his foster parents for the last 10 months.

He's one of 42 adoptions that have been processed at the Brooklyn Family Court with help from the Administration for Children's Services.

Adoption Day and Month also recognizes the social services professionals and advocates who work tirelessly with children and families.

One of the adoptive parents, Carlos Seigler says, it's a great feeling. "The first day we finally met it feels as if he was coming home."

Officials say there are still hundreds of kids across the City looking for permanent homes.  Last year 900 children were adopted out of the city's foster care system.
