The New York Giants are tackling hunger here in the city.

Five players joined the Food Bank For New York City to continue a holiday tradition.

The group helped unload more than one hundred turkeys and all the trimmings from the organizations truck.

In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, the turkeys will be distributed to New Yorkers in need.

"For this time of year, making sure children in those families and family members are taken care of is very important to us," said Food Bank Director Senna Weaver.

The Giants also helped volunteers in the kitchen prepare and then serve dinner to the food bank's 400 guests.
