The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has arrived.

The iconic tree arrived Saturday morning in Midtown and was lifted into place by a giant crane.

Crowds gathered as crews began to prepare the tree next to the famous ice rink.

Workers said it'll take most of the day to set the tree up.

"The tree's about 85 years old. It's 75 feet tall and 50 feet wide, and weighs about 22,000 pounds," said Erik Pauze, the head gardener at Rockefeller Center. "You'll start seeing the scaffolding going around it so we can start putting the lights on it."

This year's tree is a Norway Spruce. I was cut down in State College, Pennsylvania on Thursday.

The annual lighting ceremony is set for November 29.
