FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's defense team is continuing to call witnesses to the stand Tuesday at Fort Bragg.

Testimony continues after Bergdahl himself took the stand Monday answering questions about what happened after he left his post in Afghanistan and was captured by the Taliban.

The most gripping piece of evidence presented by the defense was a video of a realistic model of the cage that Bergdahl described being held in for four years of his captivity.

That evidence was presented during testimony from a witness who had debriefed Bergdahl after his return.

Terrence Russell, who works with the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, took the stand saying the cage model was created after learning intel from Bergdahl so he could use it as a resource.

Russell stated that the military needs Bergdahl to help train other soldiers how to survive in captivity.

Also today, one of Bergdahl's supervisors took the stand describing what type of soldier Bergdahl was – saying he performed well, was respectful and gave no backtalk.

However, he did say he confided in his first-sergeant about Bergdahl saying he was concerned Bergdahl wasn't adjusting well to deployment.

Bergdahl could face life in prison on charges that he deserted his comrades after leaving his post in Afghanistan.
