Emergency crews worked quickly to rescue two window washers stuck on the 35th floor of a Midtown high-rise Monday.

It happened just before noon on Third Avenue near 54th Street.

The workers were trapped on a scaffolding on the side of a building.

Crews moved a nearby glass window, lowered a safety line down to the window washers, and pulled them up to safety.

The harrowing rescue took about 45 minutes.

No one was hurt.

It's not clear exactly how the workers got stuck.
