Police are asking for help finding a man they say tried to rape a woman in Brooklyn.

The incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the man in the above picture followed a 23-year-old woman at the Prospect Park subway station on the Q line.

They say he approached her and touched her inappropriately as she was entering the turnstiles.

They then both boarded a northbound Q train and got off at the 34th Street-Herald Square stop, police say.

Police say he continued to follow her down an escalator and then grabbed the victim's arms.

After a struggle, he allegedly bit her chest before running out of the station.

The man police are looking for was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, yellow shorts and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
