The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has unveiled a new large-scale mural on 34th Street.

You can find the new work on the Port Authority Bridge between Ninth and 10th avenues.

The mural, which is called "Some Days I Have to Push Myself/Say Hello," is a collaborative effort to help raise awareness, between the NYC Mural Arts Project and the Fountain House Gallery, which features work by New Yorkers living with mental illness.

Residents say they're pleased with the new addition to the neighborhood.

"It's great. I think anything to raise consciousness and make people think outside their usual box is a good thing," said one resident.

The artwork was commissioned by the NYC Mural Arts Project.

It's one of three the group has unveiled across the city in its opening year.
