A day after an A train went off the rails in Harlem, Mayor Bill de Blasio finally addressed the mass-transit mess today.

In a radio interview this morning, the mayor said he wants to work on a solution for the city’s subway system with the resources the MTA has now. He added rather than getting upset, the stakeholders should work on a solution.

"We’re all frustrated but I got to tell you the most important thing is to focus on solutions," the mayor said. "Let’s get focused on job one with resources we have to figure out what can be done in the short term. I have been talking to all the key players about this. I will certainly be talking to the governor. Again not a new problem, but a problem that’s getting worse."

After his radio interviews this morning, the mayor was expected to head to Philadelphia, where he has a fundraiser for his re-election campaign.
