Police have released new photos of two men wanted for questioning after a shooting near the Battery in Lower Manhattan left two people wounded Monday.

The two men reportedly were arguing over selling tickets to the Statue of Liberty when shots rang out shortly after 3 p.m.

A 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man who were walking near Battery Place and Washington Street were hit by gunfire.

The woman was shot in the knee, while the man was grazed in the torso.

Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover.

"We're looking into everything right now. We're interviewing witnesses, we're looking for video and I believe that within a relatively short period of time, we're gonna have more facts in this case and we're gonna be able to solve it," said William Aubry, chief of Manhattan South detectives.

Polcie say both suspects are 30 to 40 years old. One is described as having a heavy build and was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, red plaid shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

The second man is bald and was last seen wearing a blue sweat shirt, blue jeans, multi-colored sneakers and carrying a tan backpack.
