Police have arrested the man they say tried to rape a woman near Columbus Circle on Friday morning.

Investigators said Ibrahima Barry, 24, walked into Time Warner Center around 10 a.m., took the escalator to the second floor, and then went inside the women's bathroom.

Barry went into one of the stalls, and then climbed under it to another stall where an 18-year-old woman was, according to police.

Officials said he began to expose himself, but ran off when the woman screamed. The victim was not injured.

Barry was later spotted in the in Olinville area of the Bronx.

The Boynton Ave. resident has been charged with attempted rape. Barry has more than a dozen prior arrests.
