A homeless man is charged with attempted rape after police say he attacked a woman at her home in Manhattan.
NYPD officers took 41-year-old Robert Adames into custody yesterday after receiving a tip.
Police say back on March 3, Adames followed the 25-year old woman to her home on Norfolk and Rivington Streets on the Lower East Side shortly after midnight.
They say he pushed his way through the door and groped her.
He then tried to take off her clothes, but ran off after she fought back.
Adames now faces several other charges, including sexual abuse and criminal trespass.
