Police are looking for whoever punched an elderly man in a Manhattan park.

It happened Tuesday around 3 p.m., according to police.

Police say the 85-year-old victim was in Carl Schurz Park near East End Avenue and 90th Street when he was attacked from behind.

Someone hit him in the side of the head and knocked him to the ground, according to police.

He suffered cuts and was treated at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Police say the attacker ran south on the promenade.
