NEW YORK - Police are investigating claims that a woman was raped by a man she mistook for her Lyft driver in Chelsea this week.

The 22-year-old woman told police she ordered a car from the ride sharing service around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

About a minute later, she says an SUV showed up and told her that he was her driver.

That's when he drove to  East 26th Street between Second and Third avenues and allegedly raped the woman before taking off.

Manhattan's Special Victims Squad is investigating.
