Police have released video of men they say pretended to be police officers while trying to rob a woman in Manhattan.
Investigators say the men in the above surveillance video approached a 45-year-old woman around 1 p.m. on July 26 on the corner of Fairview Avenue and Broadway Terrace.
According to investigators, they identified themselves as police officers, then tried to take her bag, but the victim was able to hold on to it.
Police say the men fled in a dark-colored sedan.
