A Bronx man is under arrest for allegedly raping a woman inside a park on the Upper West Side, according to the city police department.
Police said Anthony Camilo, 26, entered Riverside Park near West 72nd Street with a 24-year-old woman around 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the woman had met Camilo earlier on the subway and walked into the park with him after he said he had a friend who would give her a ride to Brooklyn.
That is when Camilo choked her, forced her to the ground, and attacked her, police said.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and treated for her injuries.
Camilo has been charged with rape, two counts of sexually motivated assault, and strangulation.
