More than a month after Verizon workers went out on the picket lines, employees continue to make their voices heard.

Workers came together outside the NYU Kimmel Center Thursday, where Verizon vice president Mark Bartomeleo was speaking at a conference.

Nearly 40,000 employees have been on strike since April 13 and have been without a contract since last August.

Protesters say they're pushing back against the company's move to outsource jobs.

"We're here protesting corporate greed. We've been out here 43 days," said one worker.

"We're just as strong today as we were on day one, and we're going to remain strong, as long as this takes," said another.

Union representatives say Verizon earns about $1.5 billion in monthly profits.
