The Bronx man accused of attacking a gay couple at a Manhattan restaurant has been convicted.

Officials say 42-year-old Bayna-Lekheim El-Amin was found guilty of assault and attempted assault charges.

Prosecutors say El-Amin attacked a 25-year-old and 32-year-old man at a Dallas BBQ's restaurant on 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue in Chelsea last May.

They say he got into an argument with the two men before hitting them with a wooden chair.

Both victims suffered cuts and bruises.

El-Amin was not charged with a bias crime in the case.

He is scheduled to be sentenced June 14.
