A restaurant destroyed in last year's deadly building explosion in the East Village reopened Monday in Greenwich Village.

French fry specialist "Pommes Frites" got right back to business at its new location on Macdougal Street near Third Street.

Owners say they'll be running with limited staff, and limited hours, for the next two weeks and ask customers for their patience.

"We're fortunate that we have the opportunity to reopen, and we'll do the best we can here at Macdougal Street and try to carry on where we left off," said Suzanne Levinson, founder of Pommes Frites.

"We're huge fans of the french fries. Really just huge fans," said one customer at Pommes Frites. "It was our place to come when we came to Manhattan and we were out at night, or in the morning or really anytime."

Two men were killed and 22 other people were injured in the explosion that destroyed three buildings in March 2015.

Investigators say gas lines had been tampered with, leading to the blast.

Five people were arrested. Four are now charged with manslaughter.
