The balloons that will take part in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade are getting pumped up, literally.

Crews on the Upper West Side are inflating 17 larger-than-life balloons.

The prep is opened to the public.

Those wishing to check out the inflation can enter the viewing area at 79th Street and Columbus Avenue. It will end at 10 p.m.

The 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade steps off at 9 a.m. Thursday.

The festivities will start at Central Park West and 77th Street and make their way over to Sixth Avenue before ending at 34th Street in front of the Macy's at Herald Square.
