A woman pushed to the ground by a man inside the lobby of her Inwood apartment building last month has died.
It happened September 28 at a building on Nagle Avenue near Sickles Street.
The whole incident was caught on surveillance video.
Police say 96-year-old Filomena Vargas tried to keep 24-year-old Hansel Ramirez from entering the building.
They say Ramirez then pushed Vargas to the ground, fracturing her hip.
On Monday, she died from complications following surgery. The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide.
Police say Ramirez has been arrested and charged with assault.
Vargas' funeral is set for Friday.
