It was a sea of red and white in Midtown Sunday as thousands lined Fifth Avenue for the 78th annual Pulaski Day Parade.

The colorful floats, costumes and music reminded some paradegoers of home.

"I came here, because I moved to America like a month ago from Poland, now I live here in New Jersey, and this is awesome place to just meet some Polish people, and like spend time together. Here, I feel like I'm in Poland again," said one parade goer.

"The greatest thing about the parade is seeing that the culture still lives, and being around all the Polish people," said another parade goer.

"The music, the food, the atmosphere is just great," added a third.

Organizers say the parade is the largest gathering of Polish-Americans in the country.
