One of the controversial painted topless women seen in Times Square has been arraigned on prostitution charges.

Police say Destiny Romero introduced undercover cops Jason Perez, who offered to sell them drugs.

Investigators say they went to a nearby hotel and Romero agreed to have sex with an officer for money.

She is facing a misdemeanor charge of prostitution.

Perez is facing charges of promoting prostitution and selling drugs.

It's the latest incident in what's already a contentious debate over whether topless women should be allowed in Times Square at all.

"One bad apple can't ruin the whole bunch, remember that," said one Times Square passerby.

"Freedom of free speech, to do whatever you want to," said another.

"I feel like the government should take this out, because its not right for the little kids to see this," said one young man.

"I get the point, but I don't think they should do it over there. I think they should do it somewhere else," another man said.

While women walking around topless is legal, Mayor Bill de Blasio formed a task force last month to help regulate the issue.
