A grand jury says four city police officers who shot an armed robber to death last year in Manhattan acted lawfully.

Scott Kato, 45, was shot after robbing the Health Source Pharmacy on Second Avenue last May.

Police say he pointed a gun at a worker's head during the robbery and took cash and oxycodone.

One of the pill bottles was a fake and had a GPS device inside, which helped police track him down.

He was eventually cornered by the four officers at 96th Street near the FDR Drive.

The officers opened fire on him after he pointed his gun at them.

Investigators say Kato was responsible for at least six other robberies in the area.
