Police are now increasing the reward as they continue to search for a man who escaped from custody last week.

Surveillance video shows 23-year-old Tareek Arnold, still in handcuffs, running away from officers in Harlem last Tuesday night.

Police say he was being held on a felony assault charge when he attacked one of the officers and then fled on 134th Street near Eighth Avenue.

"We have amped the reward up to $12,500 for him," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. "We are searching in the Bronx and other out-of-state locations for him. We have spoken to 20 of his associates. He's a gang member called the 40 Wolves that are in central Harlem. We've spoken to all of them, and we've visited over 50 locations. "

Arnold has brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos that say "Troll" and "Militant Soldiers."
