A pharmaceutical millionaire has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for giving her son with autism a deadly dose of prescription pills.
Gigi Jordan was sentenced after a Manhattan state Supreme Court judge said she showed an "absolute lack of any remorse" in 8-year-old Jude Mirra's death.
Jude was found at the Hotel Peninsula in Manhattan in February of 2010.
Jordan was found guilty of manslaughter last November.
Defense attorneys argued she was emotionally disturbed when she drugged Jude and also tried to kill herself, but prosecutors said Jordan deliberately killed the boy because she couldn't handle his disabilities.
