Get ready to be blinded by science as the eighth annual World Science Festival kicks off Wednesday in Manhattan.

The exhibits are completely out of this world and geared to get kids interested in science, with this year's focus on NASA and space.

The event is filled with presentations from scientists and astronauts who will explain space and the satellites that help us study the earth.

There will be 28 speakers attending the festival over the next five days.

Festival CEO Tracy Day says there is something for everybody.

"What we try to do is you know reposition science in many ways , so that means trying to draw an audience and actually drawing an audience of people who have different levels of interest and knowledge," Day said.

The World Science Festival runs through Sunday.
