A local musician is asking for help tracking down her missing banjo.

Robin Greenstein lost the instrument Sunday night while unloading her car on 89th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.

She accidentally left the banjo on the sidewalk leaning up against her car.

She says she realized her mistake about an hour later and by the time she went back, the banjo was gone.

"One doorman said that he saw some two young kids walking away with something and when I described what it was he said yes that was it. They must have seen it didn't think, didn't know who it belongs to whatever and just decided to pick it up and take it," Greenstein said.

Greenstein is offering a $300 reward for the banjo.
