The September 11th Memorial Museum marked one year since opening to the public by displaying the National 9/11 Flag.
The 30-foot American flag hanged torn and tattered at 90 West Street across from the World Trade Center in the weeks after the attacks.
Then, seven years later, the flag was flown to Greensburg, Kansas, where tornado survivors started restoring it. "Stitching ceremonies" were held across the country after that until it was fully restored.
It's now been permanently added to the memorial museum's collection of articfacts from the September 11th attacks.
