Jurors have gone home for the day in the Etan Patz murder trial.

They have deliberated for nine full days without coming to a verdict.

Jurors did not request any readbacks or evidence.

Yesterday, the panel heard readbacks of testimony from investigators who previously looked into Patz's disappearance.

They're trying to decide whether Pedro Hernandez kidnapped and strangled the six-year-old in 1979.

Hernandez confessed on video four times that he killed the boy, but his lawyers say he's mentally ill and made up the confessions.

They also claim convicted pedophile Jose Ramos is the real killer.

Ramos has long been considered a suspect in Patz's death, but there was never enough evidence to charge him.

Jurors will return in the morning.
