Visitors to the top of One World Trade Center will not only see unparalleled views of the city, they will also experience a one-of-a-kind trip back in time.

To reach the 102nd floor, visitors will board a sky pod. While inside, they'll see a virtual time-lapse of Manhattan's skyline projected on the walls around them.

The images begin in the 1500s and quickly move through the centuries.

The whole trip takes about 60 seconds.

Two World Trade Center makes a brief appearance in the video for about four seconds, which is roughly proportional to the time the towers stood.

The observatory opens to the public on May 29. To buy tickets, go to oneworldobservatory.com.
