L train riders will need to find another way to get between Manhattan and Brooklyn this weekend.

Starting Friday night at 11:30 p.m., the MTA will shut down the L between Lorimer Street in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan for maintenance work.

L trains will still run between Lorimer Street and Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn.

While many riders are already trying to figure out other ways to get around, some local shops are beginning to brace for the possible decline in business.

"It'll force me to drive into the city if it's a must," said one commuter. "The L train is very important."

"The L train is very important. So many people get the L train. Every day," said one shop owner. "We've got 80 percent of our customers as tourists. They probably won't know alternative routes."

However, other businesses like New Northside Car Service say they expect to see an increase during the maintenance.

"Even when the L train goes down during weekdays for certain inconveniences, it usually means a whole line, usually get a line from our office all the way down the block," said Alex Flores of New Northside Car Service.

Other car services like Uber are offering deals during the service suspension.

Full service is set to resume at 5 a.m. Monday.

These service changes will take place for the next four weekends as well.

Free shuttle buses will be available.
