A man is dead after being hit by a bus at the Port Authority Terminal in Midtown.
Authorities say a 67-year-old man was struck around 5 p.m. during the Port Authority's rush hour. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Commuters say the incident caused more than two-hour delays.
"I came in about an hour ago and I knew there were delays, but I can't really complain because people have been waiting here a lot longer than I have," said one commuter.
"I'm trying to get to West New York and I got the message from my roomate around 6 o'clock or so, and it's like 8:49," said another commuter. "It's still a long line."
Police are working to notify the victim's family while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
