The NYPD is asking for help identifying a woman they say is responsible for an armed robbery and an attempted robbery in Manhattan.

Investigators say the person in this sketch approached two women on Riverside Drive on two separate occasions.

On January 18, cops say she made off with a 72-year-old woman's purse.

On February 28, police say she approached a 62-year-old woman sitting on a bench near 84th Street.

They say she sat down next to her and demanded her money.

When the victim screamed, she took off empty-handed. In both incidents police say she displayed a knife.

Police say the woman is in her mid-twenties, 5 feet tall, 125 pounds and has long, black curly hair.
