A famous Manhattan dive bar, Subway Inn, is back on track at a new location.

The original bar at 60th Street and Lexington Avenue lost its lease and closed in December, after 77 years in business.

Now, it will serve customers two blocks away at 60th and Second Avenue.

The bar's operators say the new location is a virtual replica of the original.

"So the first thing we wanted to keep was the Subway Inn sing, the iconic Subway Inn sign. That as a must and everything else, we wanted to bring back the old bar, wanted to bring back the booths. Unfortunately something couldn't have been saved, but we did use parts and pieces to everything. Every piece of equipment, every piece of structure, every piece of furniture has a part of the old Subway Inn," says owner Steve Salina.

Subway Inn welcomed a number of famous people over the years—including Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio.

It never charged more than $6 for a beer.
