40,000 consumers voted on the Products of the Year. What items for you and your home topped the list? Time Warner Cable News’ Kristen Shaugnessy tells us in this Healthy Living report.

Last time we showed the personal care items voted the best by 40 thousand consumers. This time, we're taking a look at the healthy living winners for you and your home.

"You get some companies that could introduce something completely new like Swiffer - brand new product, it creates a new category. You have others that just take what they have and they're making incremental improvements, but these improvements, in the consumers’ eyes, are very profound," says Richard Fryling, managing director at Product of the Year USA.

Live G Free, a private label brand won in the very competitive convenience meals category.

"They've basically said ‘You know what? We can create a product that is gluten free but tastes good,’ and they're using really great ingredients," says Fryling.

Beech Nut maintained its edge with Beech Nut Naturals, what the company calls "real food for babies.”

"It was co-created with moms, in collaboration with moms on how to develop products. So they've taken new product development and made sure they're talking to their core consumer," Fryling explains.

Benjamin Moore got environmental accolades for its new interior paint

"It has no VOCs, it has no toxins, so it's completely natural and no odor for people who are sensitive to that interior paint smell," says Fryling.

Milk Bone Brushing Chews and its twist and nub technology got top honors in the Pet Care Category

"Giving this milk bone is like brushing your dog’s teeth two times a week,” says Fryling.

Milo's Kitchen Grilled Burger bites won for Pet Nutrition.

For your kitchen, consumers chose Viva Vantage as the best paper towel.

"When a paper towel can stretch it will work harder for you before breaking up and that's what Viva Vantage has done,” says Fryling.

And Tide' s Ultra Stain Release is the detergent's newest innovation.

"Tide is claiming it can get out 99 percent of stains, and it even has a zap cap that allows you to even scrub harder on those stains," says Fryling.

So look for the red Product of the Year logo. It is like a seal of approval by thousands of consumers.
