Thursday night at the Jewish Museum, see Cellist Maya Beiser  perform. This concert is in conjunction with the museum's exhibition "Helena Rubinstein: Beauty Is Power," about the legendary cosmetics entrepreneur and art collector. This concert will highlight powerful women composers.

Free Winter Carnival

Saturday night, its Dancing Sondheim as part of the ongoing "Dance on Camera Festival" at Lincoln Center. The Festival honors dance personalities through documentaries and narrative films. Among the many offerings, there are two shorts on dances inspired by Stephen Sondheim's music. You can get tickets to individual screening or festival passes.
